PASTOR'S NOTE:

This weekend we open the new PSR season 2024/2025 with the blessing of backpacks and we ask God to bless our children and their parents and teachers in this process of getting to know Him better and discovering the beauty of His love for us. As the children begin their school year, it is important to underline the fact that their first and best teachers are their parents. I know that daily life and busy schedules take a lot of your time and energy but please always find time to talk to your kids about their religious education. Just a simple question: what did you learn in your class today? Check the notes that the teachers send home with them because they are helpful. Help them memorize prayers like "Hail Mary", "Our Father" etc. These are the fundamental blocks for their future religious views and navigating life in a time of distress and obstacles. It is difficult to fix and straighten an old tree when it has grown crooked all of its life but when it is taken care from the beginning, trimmed branches, watered at the proper time, and fertilized, it will grow beautiful and strong bringing great fruit. Your child is something much more important than a tree, so do your best to take care of your treasure. May Mary Mother of Jesus and our Mother intercede for all of our needs and St. John the Baptist, St. Clement of Rome and St. John Nepomucene support our prayers. Amen   ~   Fr. Slawomir Ptak
