We the parishioners of St. John the Baptist,
brothers and sisters in Christ, accept as our mission:
to know our faith and share it with others, to continue to grow spiritually with respect for the sacraments, to celebrate the liturgy and the Holy Eucharist as the center of our Christian life, to live by truth and love, to serve those in need, to teach by example, and thereby strengthen and inspire our Parish family in accordance with the Roman Catholic Church.

Online Giving is Live!
We are excited to offer online giving to make it easier to donate to our church. It's really easy! You can set up a one-time gift or recurring gifts. You get to choose the frequency. You can debit a checking or savings account. Unfortunately, the fees for credit cards are not cost effective at this time. If you have any questions or need help setting up an account, call Rachel at the office.
For regular weekly envelopes, you’ll choose the General Collection. But you can also choose from any of the other special collections that you normally receive envelopes for.

Catholic Communications Collection ~ May 16-17
This campaign represents a mission of love to share the gospel message of hope with people in the United States using the internet, television, radio, and print media. Half of the money collected remains here in the Diocese of Belleville to fund local communications efforts. The other half supports the communication activities of the United States Conference of Bishops and other projects across the United States. You help spreads the gospel message. Envelopes are located in your envelope packets. Learn more at www.usccb.org/ccc or click and read the flyer below.
Respect Life Corner
Radical solidarity compels us to come alongside vulnerable mothers in profound friendship, compassion, and support for both them and their preborn children. It requires us to address the fundamental challenges that lead an expectant mother to believe she is unable to welcome the child God has entrusted to her. We must do all we can to provide mothers, children, and families with the support they need to flourish. This cannot be accomplished by laws or policy alone, but requires the continual transformation of our own hearts, recognizing in every person the face of Christ, and placing their needs before our own.
Diocese of Belleville Employment Opportunities
The Diocese has a couple of Diocesan & Parish openings and several school openings.

“There was never a dull moment growing up with seven siblings. Little did I know that this experience would prepare me well for Benedictine life, a life of stability in community lived in the enclosure of the monastery. Would I have become a monk if my grandmother had not prayed that one of her grandsons would become a priest; if my dad had not told me, ““It doesn’t hurt to give God the first option””; Nothing is more beautiful than encountering Christ. I didn’t lose my family when I entered the monastery; I joined a family much larger than 10. I belong to God’s family.” Fr. Caesarius Marple, OSB
