PASTOR'S NOTE:

For some of you, vacation-time has just begun and for those like me, you may have just returned from vacation. This is a blessed time given to us by God to take care of ourselves, rejuvenate, get fascinated with the beauty of God's creation when we travel and see trees, mountains, ocean and lakes or clouds and little bitty fields from the airplane window. As the Book of Ecclesiastes says, there is time for everything under heaven, so let’s use this time for good! There is a lot of good in our activities but there is also good in silence, in prayer, in reading a great book, family gatherings, taking care of one another, and being available for others. During vacation, there will be time to make good progress with the renovation of our Church but also making good memories during this year’s VBS and serving God during Sunday Masses as servers, musicians and lectors. There is and will be lots of good going on when our kids participate in Camp Ondessonk in Ozark, IL. Whatever we do this summer, let’s do it safely and keep in mind doing it for the greater praise of God.
