Financial Target $9,606    ~    Pledged to Date $2,760

Do you remember your or your children’s or, perhaps, your grandchildren’s first time away from home attending college?  While greatly anticipated, it can also be a challenging, sometimes overwhelming experience.  Today hundreds of young adults find a comfortable, secure, faith-based home during their college years as a “family” member of the Newman Catholic Student Center at SIUC.  Your contribution to CSMA helps makes this experience possible.  Partner with Newman’s students and staff by making your gift to The Appeal today!

RETIRED DIOCESAN PRIEST COLLECTION - SEPTEMBER 7-8:

On both ordinary and extraordinary days, our priests have been there for us...at baptisms, weddings, First Communion and Confirmation, at times of sickness and sorrow...dedicating their lives to bring us closer to Christ.  Now it is our turn to be there for them during their retirement years through a gift to the Retired Diocesan Priest Collection.  All fund will be used only for long-term nursing care, Medicare supplemental insurance and prescription medications.  Show your appreciation with a generous gift next weekend.  Thank you so much!

Note:  Our diocesan priest do not receive any funding from the Retirement Fund for Religious collection which is held in December.

Bishop Michael McGovern will preside and preach. Family members and friends who grieve the loss of a loved one are encouraged to attend this Mass and bring a photograph of the person you wish to pray for to be placed in the Sanctuary during Mass.  At this time, let us remember those who have died by suicide and recommit ourselves to providing hope and healing for those who mourn their passing. For more information, call Judy Hoffmann at (618) 722-5003.

FALL FESTIVAL PARADE

 September 7 at 6:00 p.m.

Our Parish will be walking in the parade this year and we invite all parishioners and groups to participate, if you can.  If you have any question contact the office.
