2021 YEAR OF ST. JOSEPH PRAYER

Glorious Patriarch Saint Joseph, whose power makes the impossible possible, come to my aid in these times of anguish and difficulty. Take under your protection the serious and troubling situations that I commend to you, that they may have a happy outcome (here make your request). My beloved father, all my trust is in you. Let it not be said that I invoked you in vain, and since you can do everything with Jesus and Mary, show me that your goodness is as great as your power. Amen.

This prayer, from the 19th-century French prayer book, has been recited by Pope Francis every day for more than 40 years (cf. Patris Corde, †10).

Today, over 40% of dioceses in the US and its territories are unable to fund the essential pastoral work their communities need. Your support of this appeal helps them meet these faith formation and sacramental needs. Please prayerfully consider how you can support this appeal. More information can be found at www.usccb.org/home-missions or on the handout and Bishop McGovern letter below (click to view).
